Save on Your Cell Phone Bill Each Month

Do you agonize over your cell phone bill each month? Well you don’t have to! Here are some realistic tips to save on your cell phone bill.

  • If you are an avid texter, switch to unlimited text messaging. Ten cents for each text message over your limit can add up, so if you text as much or more than you talk, unlimited text messaging may be for you!
  • Stop using services you can get for free. For example, don’t use 4-1-1 to get information. Instead, opt for a free option few people know about: 1-800-free411.
  • Pick a plan with rollover minutes. Why throw your unused minutes (and your money) away?

These are just a few tips to help you save on your bill each month. Have a tip or story about how you have saved on cell phone bills? Post them below!

  1. You could also optimize your services using a calculator such as billshrink.com. They let you set what features you require, then calculate what service provider and plan you should use for maximum savings!

  2. Good, but how about this?

    Get a prepaid phone.

I did a bit of research and discovered NET10 was the best for my purposes. I don’t use a lot of minutes — maybe 200 or so a month — and I’m not a mad texter or websurfer either, but 10¢ a minute for calls and 3¢ for texts is crazy good. And no fees per day or other bs.

I got a very nice Samsung phone with a slide-out qwerty keyboard and no one knows it’s prepaid. Costs me a big $30 a month for all my stuff.

    1. A prepaid phone is a great idea! An easy way to save on phone bills! Great idea, thanks for the share!
